Port Authority Slavonski Brod is implementing a project for the dangerous cargo terminal in Port Slavonski Brod. It is the first project of its kind in Croatia, and the main goal of this project is to create a study, project, and tender documents for the construction of a dangerous cargo terminal that will create preconditions for more dynamic growth of activities and ensure better technical conditions in the port Slavonski Brod.
During the last quarter of the project implementation, the technical part of the Feasibility Study was prepared: documentation that analyzed the current state, analysis of the needs for the infrastructure of the terminal for dangerous cargo (in the existing and planned state), analysis the variant solutions (with regard to the functionality of the terminal, as well as with regard to individual construction solutions the terminal itself) and the assessment of investment costs.
Geotechnical investigation works were carried out, i.e. a geotechnical study was submitted with reports on the investigation of the foundation soil - field investigation works and laboratory tests.
A Working version of the Environmental Impact Study was also prepared. It is an environmental impact study document for this type of intervention, which is mandatory in accordance with the Decree on Environmental Impact Assessment. The documentation analyses the possible impact of construction and usage on all relevant components of nature and the environment: water, soil, air, plant and animal species, habitats, population, economy, etc. The process of obtaining an Opinion on the compliance of the project with the spatial planning documents and the Preliminary assessment of the acceptability of interventions on the ecological network has been initiated, and a working version of the conceptual design of the terminal for hazardous cargo has been prepared.Conceptual design was submitted for review which included all necessary descriptions, studies and components.
