On 06.04.2021, in compliance with all recommended epidemiological recommendations of the Institute of Public Health the fifth press conference of the EU Project "Slavonski Brod port infrastructure construction and upgrade"was held at the Port Authority of Slavonski Brod.
The topic of the press conference was "Presentation of the supervision service on the Luka Slavonski Brod project", in order to approximate the process of supervision of works. Supervision was presented by Mr. Zdenko Tadić representative Osijek companie HIDRO ING d.o.o. in the function of Chief Supervising Engineer of the Project.
Mr. Tadić points out that the supervision of the Project is veryi mportant because it is necessary to coordinate the work of contractors as well as the work of all other professions involved in the Project itself. In other words, we can say that the basic goal supervision of works is consolidation of all components of the Project.
In order to better describe the scope of this demanding project, Mr. Tadić singled out many important ones
data, and some of them are:
- archaeological research conducted on an area of almost 5 hectares,
- installation of a wide excavation of earth material,
- installation of gravel and part of the stone in the hinterland of the vertical coast in the amount of 30,000 cubic meters,
- underwater machine excavation in the amount of 14,000 cubic meters was performed,
- the underwater foundation mattress was made on an area of 3,700 square meters,
- Underwater stone cladding was made on an area of 3,000 square meters.
The supervisor, as well as the scout and the project manager, point out that the works were on several occasions difficult due to the high water level of the Sava River.
In addition to the water level of the river, the pandemic caused by COVID – 19 also represented a problem, but regardless of everything The project was successfully realized.
The first technical inspection is scheduled for mid-April 2021, and everything is expected to pass in in the best order.
